# Introduction Kernetics is the scientific study of the basic building blocks of the world, kernels, their isotopes, and the complex structures they can form, known as gestalts. Practitioners are called Kerneticists. This science was developed in [[Luminova]], where it is considered cutting edge among scholars. Kernetics is based on the [[Chromatic Bonds Theory]], which expands on the [[Relative Measures Theory]]. The Chromatic Bonds Theory describes the magic bonds that form structures known as isotopes and gestalts. While Chromatic Bonds is a prevailing theory, replication of the natural phenomena is imperfect. All artificial isotopes and gestalts can be detected with a Chromatic Lens, and will eventually disintegrate back into their kernels. The following are the primary Kernetic tools: **Kernetic [[Tome]]**, [[Quill]], [[Ink]], [[Chromatic Lens]], **Wand** or **Staff** # Kernetic Tome A Kernetics Tome, sometimes referred to as one's Wissensbaum, is a personal book of study that a Kerneticist carries on their person. Tomes must be equipped and consulted for most Kernetics applications, as the processes are complex and nearly impossible to remember. Additionally, a Kernetics Tome allows a Kerneticist to perform minor Kernic manipulation, such as using Pyron to light a candle or Aer to snuff one out. **Kernels must already be present and within line of sight for manipulation.** # Kernels and Isotopes The six Kernetic measures, or kernels, are proposed in the [[Relative Measures Theory]]: Geon, Hydron, Elektron, Aer, Pyron, and Cryos. These six kernels can be influenced by one of the seven chromatic bonds in order to form different isotopes. **Kernels must already be present and within line of sight for manipulation.** - [[Isotopes by Chromatic Bond]] - [[Isotopes by Kernel]] - [[Kernetic Isotopes Glossary]] # Gestalts Gestalts are more complicated structures that are derived from isotope integrations on the manacular level. Not all theoretical gestalts are stable, but because gestalts can be used to make even more complicated gestalts, it is believed that the number of gestalts is limitless. - [[Gestalt Glossary]] - [[Gestalt Index]] # Voltage Some gestalts can hold a certain amount of excess energy (voltage) which is described in units of Volts. 1000 Volts equals kV, a unit sometimes referred to as "magical charges" in casual conversation.
