# Introduction ## Physiology The Sagani are an old race that was born from the storm that created the world. They boast horns that grow twisted and wild. They are humanoid and have monocoloured skin tones of nearly every shade under the sun, boasting the most fantastical color variations of any heritage. ## General Culture Sagani prize freedom over all. Throughout history, they’ve been held in a negative regard, but that reputation has slowly been shed throughout the years. That said, older folks of other races still seem to hold them in a somewhat racist contempt. The Sagani are wildly diverse and cultural. Like the Fey and the Naga, they live across vastly different areas, with adaptations to their environment. They seem ageless, and appear young until the day they die. A full lifespan can stretch between 100 and 200 years. # Statline Entity types: [[Entities|Folk]], [[Entities|Cthonic]] [[Size and Weight]]: Medium, Middleweight [[Move|Speed]]: 12 meters [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|Resistances]]: [[Chaos|Chaos]], [[Miasma]], [[Entities|Cthonic]] [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|Vulnerabilities]]: [[Samsara|Celestial]], [[Elysia]] +1 [[Invention|Impression]], +2 [[Invention|Imagination]], +1 [[Agility|Reflex]] # Elemental Affinities Sagani are elemental, and come in six affinities: Fire, Water, Ice, Air, Earth, and Volt. These are very diverse affinities that have dramatically different abilities and few of them have the same abilities that derive from their ancestry. All Sagani have some ability to control and shape their associated element to some degree. This is empowered by experience, training, and narrative momentum. ## Fire Sagani Fire Sagani have [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|resistance]] to [[Fire]] and are [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|vulnerable]] to [[Ice]]. They have the following optional facets available: [[Flametongue]] [[Torchknife]] [[Sweeping Cinder Strike]] [[Thermalsight]] [[Burning Gaze]] [[Smoldering Smile]] [[Pyre Protection]] [[Burning Beacon]] ## Ice Sagani Ice Sagani have [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|resistance]] to [[Ice]] and are [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|vulnerable]] to [[Fire]]. They have the following optional facets available: [[Glacier's Guard]] [[Frozen Iron]] [[Piercing Prism]] ## Air Sagani Air Sagani have [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|resistance]] to [[Aer]] and are [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|vulnerable]] to [[Volt]]. They have the following optional facets available: [[Gliding Gale]] [[Achromatic Aura]] [[Expressionless Energy]] ## Water Sagani Water Sagani have [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|resistance]] to [[Water]] and are [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|vulnerable]] to [[Earth]]. They have the following option facets available: [[Water's Ward]] [[Distillation]] is another ability, which allows Sagani to , and Rippling Shimmer is a rather understated but effective ability, where one controls the precise movements of waves in water. It is rather effective when fishing. ## Earth Sagani Earth Sagani have the expected Vulnerability to Water, and the Resistance or Immunity to Earth. Most Earth Sagani have Stoneskin, which lends Resistance to Piercing, Slashing, and Blunt damage. Some have a level of Tremorsense, or may have Gaia’s Wrath which causes a small earthquake that is just large enough to knock people prone, or get that cookie jar off the top shelf. Churning Earth is the farmer’s delight; allowing Sagani to till nearby soil and pluck vegetables. Stronger variations can loosen trees with weak root systems. Earthen Embrace is a calming ability with healing properties, allowing ability users to heal and cleanse themselves with only the dirt and the sun. ## Volt Sagani Volt Sagani, Vulnerable to Air, Resistant or Immune to Volt, blah, blah, blah. There’s abilities such as Polarity Pull, which can redirect incoming metals towards intended areas of the user’s body. This is often used in combat by directing swords of unexperienced and weaker soldiers to shields. The pull isn’t very strong, and experienced and strong swordsfolk can overcome it. Static Skin instantly deals damage to those physically holding a Volt Sagani with an electric force, and Battery Ram allows Sagani to take in energetic power and redistribute it at their discretion. Systematic Shock allows electricity to flow from the Sagani into an object they hold. Said item should probably be conductive, but hey, I’m not your boss.
