Blessed with a sword handed down by the goddess of the Elphyne Springs and imbued with Magik by the elven bishop Arsaid, Volundr united the elven towns under vis banner and the wood spirits, known as the Fey, also joined vis cause. During this time, they purified the world. There are many tales describing vis adventures and the twisted eldritch beasts ve slew. There were twisted Sagani priests who served the Odium in some twisted attempts at self preservation. Some of them were killed, while others were able to be blessed by his radiance and purified by vis touch. During this time, fifteen knights rose in legend as Volundr’s core followers. These fifteen knights were Alifar, Avery, Bryn, Cathasy, Duinn, Eider, Gelsey, Heligthe, Joslynn, Kavanaugh, Mauvel, Myre, Neil, Quinn, and Vin. They would establish families that would serve Aldbine’s family for generations. At the age of 178, Volundr and vis fifteen knights sailed into the sunset to purify the source of Odium, the land of Echtra, inhabited by a demon people who worshiped the evil miasma. They never returned. In his absence, vis child Brianne continued the eradication of Odium throughout the land and established the Aldbine Empire, which established peace and prosperity for all peoples and entered the world into a golden age for 1000 years. ## The Silver Era The Aldbine Empire fell when its detractors, looking for power, sought help from the [[Dragons]], who feared the strength of the [[Elves]] and wished to weaken the position of mortals. Faced with the possibility of a civic war as the powers of treachery boiled over, the Empire of Aldbine, in order to preserve the lives of the many, decided to withdraw and secede power in certain regions gracefully and peacefully, leaving themselves with their sovereign territory of the continent of [[Elphyne]]. For about another thousand years, this arrangement stood. Elves allowed informal cities and settlements of others to mine and develop on the **Trifecta Mountain Range** through a group of documents known as [[The Khora]], but the empire mostly focused its affairs in the **Elphyne Coil**. The Empire’s blood grew weaker and weaker, as heir upon heir refused to strengthen the empire’s sovereignty, hiding behind messages of peace. Eventually, the current Emparch committed heresy, radicalized by the [[Avis]], and declared the dragons as the gods incarnate. Hung by duty, the fourteen Houses executed the Emparch and exiled her family, declaring the country a Republic, and establishing each of the houses the right to vote on affairs.
