# Introduction The Rainforest is a hot and humid biome, filled with lush vegetation and plentiful animal life. Unlike black jungles, the rainforest has a much thinner undergrowth environment, partially because of more tightknit tree canopy, and partially because the undergrowth is often washed away into the [[Tropics]] during the humid season. Most of the wildlife in rainforests are found in the tree canopy. # Environment Fluctuation Rainforests are an insular environment, and are found in regions unaffected by the seasons. Instead, the biomes experience a humid season, during the seasons of Ogair and Sal, and an arid season, during Doth and Bas. ## Humid Season (Ogair and Sal) The rainforest is drenched constantly in rain overhead. While the soil is constantly muddy, most rainforests are able to avoid flooding as the water pools and pours into surround [[Tropics]] biomes. ## Arid Season (Doth and Bas) The rainforest begins to go through an extremely dry period.
