# Introduction
A large columnar cactus that reaches 12 meters at its full height. They grow arms during the final third of their 150 year lifespan, greatly increasing their flower and fruit production. Like many cacti, the Saguaro absorbs considerable amounts of rainwater during flood seasons, so that it may survive periods of drought. The Saguaro is a highly versatile plant to harvest, producing Saguaro Ribs, Saguaro Spines, Saguaro Flowers, Saguaro Fruit, and Saguaro Juice.
