# Introduction
Entities are people, creatures, or other objects within the world that have their own ability stats and may exist during combat encounters.
# Entity Types
Entity Types describe creatures in broad strokes. These descriptors are sometimes referenced by facets, actions, and other gameplay elements.
## Aquatic
Entities adapted for the seas. They typically can breathe underwater, and are either resistant or immune to the element of water.
## Arcane
Entities steeped in magic.
## Beast
Standard mammalian animal life. Usually fur, claws, and sharp teeth.
## Botanical
Plant-life. Usually resistant to water and earth, but often vulnerable to fire.
## Celestial
Beings of vitality particularly attuned to the spiritual. They tend to have high levels of [[Miasma]] and [[Elysia]]
## Construct
An artificial being made through scientific or magical means.
## Chthonic
These entities seem to have the very essence of the elements sewn into their being.
## Dire
Dire Beasts are apex beasts. This fauna and flora have survived years upon years in the wild and have gained considerable power and experience beyond the average member of their species.
## Dorvial
Dorvial entities are difficult to define. They seem to change easily, with minor changes any time they are observed. They are somewhat phasic, with these small details disappearing, but reappearing over time, with no clear schedule.
## Draconic
Of [[Dragons|Dragon]] heritage. Immensely powerful.
## Folk
Any creature that is a fully realized conscious person. Typical Folk form consists of an upright figure with two arms and two legs.
## Giant
Large creatures with mass and constitution greater than average
## Minish
Small creatures with greater agility and lesser constitution than average
## Nex
Nex beings have unusual biological structures of knots and bindings between their organs that distinguishes them from others.
## Nirvial
Beings with unique levels of selfsufficiency. Magic flows notably different with them, working in strange and unusual ways.
## Reptilian
Cold-blooded, scaly creatures. Their movements are usually strange and alien to warmblooded creatures. Their scales usually resist [[Damage|Piercing]] and [[Damage|Slashing]] dmg.
## Sylvan
Related or closely associated to Elves. These beings seem to vibrate intensely on a microcosm scale. It's been noted that some animals closely associated with Elves have biology that seems to mirror this phenomenon.
## Undead
The dead, reanimated. Almost always contain high levels of miasma.
## Ungulate
Beasts with hooves.
## Vermin
Measly creatures that are especially weak, such as rats, bugs, and parasites.
## Winged
Winged Creatures. Typically can fly. Usually [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|vulnerable]] to [[Damage|Piercing]].
