# Introduction
Chakras are the pools of [[The Tantras|Qi]] that flow through each consciousness, giving them energy and willpower. While everyone has functioning chakras, physical and emotional neglect congest the chakra pools, limiting one's abilities. Cleansed and open Chakras can be used as prisms to direct and influence Qi. In order to access the power of the Chakras, one must maintain a clear Chakra pool. If they fail to meet the criteria of a Chakra, that Chakra and all chakras above it will become congested and unavailable until the block is removed. The seven chakras are: Root, Sanctum, Design, Heart, Voice, Eye, and Apex.
## Chakras Aspect
When one practices the chakras as a meditation practice on the side, they take it as an aspect unto itself. They can choose a facet from any chakra, but must maintain clear access to the chakra by following the additional criteria.
## Chakras Affinity
[[The Dharma]] class can choose the Chakras as an affinity. When they do, the Root and Sanctum Chakras correspond to the Body Aspect; the Design, Heart, and Voice Chakras correspond to the Mind Aspect; and the Eye and Apex Chakras corresponds to the Soul Aspect. When a dharma levels up, if they would choose a facet from on of their aspects, they can choose an aspect from a corresponding chakra instead.
# The Root Chakra
The Root Chakra is located at the base of one's spine. This pool of energy is the primal instinct necessary for survival and safety. By being tied to that instinct, it is obstructed by fear, preventing creatures from moving beyond simply surviving. The Root Chakra is one's physical anchor, acknowledging your physical existence. The Root is associated with Earth and the color red.
## Root Chakra Criteria
The Root is blocked by the [[Fear]] [[Afflictions|affliction]]. As long as one is frightened, all access to your chakras are blocked. This block will clear as soon as the affliction is cleared.
## Exclusive Facets
### Iron Skin Aura
As long as you have maintain one point of Willpower, you may activate or deactivate Iron Skin Aura freely on your turn, once per round. Gain [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|resistance]] to [[Damage|Blunt]], [[Damage|Slashing]], and [[Damage|Piercing]] damage, and increase your [[Defense Rates and Armor|BR]] by 2. Become [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|vulnerable]] to [[Volt]] and [[Damage|Concussive]] damage.
### Mountain Stance
*Requires Body Aspect 1 or Chakra Aspect 3*
As a [[Actions|Great Action]], you may spend 10 [[Hitpoints and Willpower|WP]] to take on the strength of a mountain and enter Mountain Stance, gaining resistance to physical elemental damage, as well as [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|Invulnerability]] to [[Damage|Piercing]], [[Damage|Slashing]], and [[Damage|Blunt]] damage. You do become [[Vulnerabilities and Resistances|vulnerable]] to [[Entities|Botanical]] entities and [[Magnus]] damage.
Furthermore, if you are on stable ground when you activate this stance, you take on the strength of the ground underneath and you cannot be moved, pushed, grappled, [[Fear|frightened]], or knocked [[prone]] against your will, until the start of your next turn, even if magically compelled to do so. This benefit does not come into play if fighting on unstable ground, such as sand or thick mud. You do not leave Enduring Mountain Stance until combat has ended, you willingly enter another stance or leave the stance, or your access to your Qi is blocked.
### Qi Counter
If an opponent attempts to attack you and fails, you may spend 3 [[Hitpoints and Willpower|WP]] as a [[Actions|Reaction]] and make an [[unarmed attack]] against them.
### Martial Arts IV
*Requires Martial Arts III*
Your Qi extends the range of your unarmed blows, and catch your enemy off guard. Your blows increase in range by 2 meters and you gain advantage on your unarmed strike rolls against enemies that do not have Truesight or similar.
### Control of Body
[[Main Glossary|1.d]], as a [[Actions|Great Action]], you may gain [[Hitpoints and Willpower|tHP]] equal to half your WP maximum.
### Root Restoration
*Requires Body Aspect 1 or Chakra Aspect 3*
As ethereal power flows through you, your spirit is filled with enlightenment. You regain all HP and WP and lose all conditions imposed upon you. This facet is a [[Actions|Moment of Glory]] and is not restricted by Chakra Access.
## Additional Facets

- [[Combat Deflection]]
# The Sanctum Chakra
The Sanctum Chakra is located directly above the Root Chakra, in the pelvis. This chakra handles joy, pleasure, and hedonism. It works as our ability to appreciate our sense of being and place, allowing us to practice mindfulness. By being tied to pleasure and appreciation, The Sanctum Chakra is blocked by guilt. It is associated with Water, and the color orange.
## Sanctum Chakra Criteria
The Sanctum Chakra is blocked by guilt. If you or your party kill any creature, your guilt will block your Sanctum Chakra (and all Chakra above it) until you are able to meditate and pray for the creature for ten minutes. If the creature is sentient, you must give it a proper burial if possible. If you leave the scene without a proper burial, you receive one stack of [[Stages of Decline|Distress]], and your access to the Sanctum Chakra will only be restored once your Distress has been cleared.
## Exclusive Facets
### Unbound Movement
*Requires Unhindered Aura and Free Flowing Stance*
When Unhindered Aura and Free Flowing Stance are both active, you may travel vertically and horizontally along walls without falling. You may run across liquid without falling. You must be constantly traveling in a straight line to gain these benefits, and you must end your movement on solid ground.
### Unfettered Placement
*Requires Body Aspect 2 or Chakra Aspect 4*
Unfettered Placement is a [[Actions|Moment of Glory]], but is still subject to Chakra Access. When invoked, Unfettered Placement applies several affects upon the user for a period up to 10 minutes out of combat, or 3 turns within combat.
- The user cannot be restrained, grappled, imprisoned, banished, knocked prone, slowed, or have their movement limited in any way.
- The user may fly at their traditional movement speed, (although they must be in contact with some separate physical object at the end of their movement).
- The user can move once at the end of each and every turn, including the turns of others.

# The Design Chakra
The Design Chakra is located just above the navel. This Chakra is responsible for self-control and determination. It fuels our ability to transform and shape ourselves according to our own desires. By being tied to self-mastery and perseverance, it is blocked by shame and insecurity. The Design Chakra is the catalyst for action. It is associated with Fire and the color yellow.
## Design Chakra Criteria
The Design Chakra is blocked by shame. When you roll a critical failure (natural 1), your Design Chakra is blocked. It is cleared either after your next [[Hitpoints and Willpower|Recovery]], or if you roll a critical success (natural 24).
## Exclusive Facets
### Contained Flame
You have learned to contain your qi. You may take on a new Stance, Silent Lantern. While in this stance, your qi is unavailable. However, failed criteria that would block your chakra access take twice as much effort to trigger. Small transgressions are ignorable, although larger ones will still affect your score. Your Narrator should help guide you to take actions that would avoid triggering the forces. Additionally, your qi is undetectable by abilities that might reveal it, and you are undetectable by [[Thermalsight]]. Your qi is made available as normal when you leave this stance.
### Clarity of Mind
As a [[Actions|Reaction]], you may shrug off one of the following [[Afflictions|afflictions]]: [[Fear]], [[Surprise]], [[Hypnosis]], [[Paralyze|Paralysis]], [[Stun]], [[Confusion]], or [[Inebriation]]. You may only do this as the condition is being received, not after the condition has already been applied. When you do this, you gain 1 Willpower. If your willpower is full, you may not use your reaction this way.
### Active Role
*Requires Mind Aspect 3 or Chakra Aspect 5*
Active Role is a [[Actions|Moment of Glory]] and is not restricted by Chakra Access. You regain all [[Actions|Action Points]] and immediately take a bonus turn, before turn order resumes as normal. During this bonus turn, you have access to all [[Chakras]] you have unlocked, even if they would be blocked otherwise. During this bonus turn, you may use all Action Points at your disposal, and are not limited to 6AP. At the end of your bonus turn, Chakra access returns to its previous state, and you regain all action points once more.
